Paul and I joined hundreds of people today at the Greensward in Overton Park to protect the greenspace from Memphis Zoo parking. During the demonstration, we visited the Rawk’n Grub Food Truck for lunch (ethically parallel parked on the street near the dog park).

Rawk’n Grub’s Main Stage menu is fairly large for a food truck. Our friends Jim and Gin Lord found us in front of the truck and advised that we had to order burgers. When Jim Lord recommends a burger, he knows what he is talking about.
Rawk’n Grub also features a Side Stage Menu of specials (available on their website and reposted here):
Paul ordered the Mantera: an 8 ounce hamburger stuffed with smoked gouda pimento cheese topped with candied bacon, caramelized onions and chipotle aioli on a brioche bun. Loosen your belt when ordering this burger. You’ll want to savor every bite to the end. My phone was dying by the time our order was ready, so here’s a picture from Rawk’n Grub’s Instagram. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Paul and I shared an order of Blue Suede Shoestring Potatoes: shoestring fries, drizzled with a smoked blue cheese and ranch sauce dip and topped with candied bacon, spring onions and crumbled blue cheese. The most inspired cheese fries we’ve ever tasted. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I ordered the Patti La Mellte: a beef patty melt with caramelized onions, smoked gouda pimento cheese & melted American cheese on grilled wheatberry bread. This burger was a simpler version of the burger Paul ordered. Rawk’n Grub recently posted a photo of the Patti La Mellte on their Instagram. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I now follow Rawk’n Grub on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so that I can find them quickly in the future.
